Kick-start your exercise routine with Dubai Fitness Challenge
After resounding success in 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge is back, starting on Friday, 26 October 2018 and running until Saturday, 24 November 2018.
The initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government, intends to make Dubai the most active city in the world.
The aim is to encourage Dubai residents and citizens to do at least 30 minutes of exercise, every day for 30 days. Think you’re up to the challenge?
Accepting the challenge, few of us downloaded the App and created a Group. It is motivating when you are in a group. You can see the activities of others in the group.
The App features a full schedule of events, classes and activities during the Dubai Fitness Challenge including diverse themed fitness villages and over 4,000 free classes at more than 250 locations across the city. You can record their activity using the GPS tracking function or manually log and record their workout using an exhaustive list ranging from walking, boxing, yoga, Zumba, biking, swimming and much more.
Shaikh Hamdan said: “My vision for the Dubai Fitness Challenge was to create a truly inclusive movement across our city and the wider UAE, to sustainably enhance the health and long-term well-being of people of all ages, abilities and levels of fitness”.
It is exciting to be part of Dubai Fitness Challenge 2018. Physical fitness is very important for every individual. Let us hope this is not like New year resolutions. 30 Days habit will result in daily habit for rest of the life.
